"Before the fight with Usyk. This is a disgrace": Fury's promoter criticizes the media

Promoter Frank Warren has once again criticized journalists for attacking Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) on the eve of his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs). The head of Queensberry Promotions noted that he was disgusted to read that a media representative compared his client to a gangster.

Warren wrote about this in a column for the British tabloid Daily Star. Fury's representative admired his client, noting that he had reached incredible heights in boxing, which many representatives of this sport can only dream of. The promoter also emphasized the character of the boxer, who has overcome many problems.

"Tyson will go down as one of the best British heavyweights of all time if he retires tomorrow. He beat Wladimir Klitschko when no one gave him a chance and comfortably beat other opponents. That's why it hurts me to see that some people don't love him as much. Tyson is someone who rose up and became an example. When I saw a newspaper columnist call him a "thug" before the fight with Usyk, I was just sick to my stomach. It was a disgrace. The definition of a thug is "a violent, aggressive person, a criminal." Outside of the ring, these definitions have nothing to do with Tyson," Warren was outraged.

As a reminder, Usyk vs. Fury 2 ended with the Ukrainian boxer winning a unanimous decision with a score of 116-112 three times. In addition, it became known what result was recorded by artificial intelligence. This angered Tyson, who called himself the strongest with a difference of at least three rounds. After the fight, he was "disqualified".
