Attacked by 11 drones: the consequences of the attack on the oil depot in the Smolensk region of the Russian Federation have become known
In the Smolensk region of the aggressor country Russia, two tanks with gasoline and diesel fuel caught fire on December 31 after a UAV attack on the Yartsevo oil depot. The Russian facility was attacked by 11 drones.
The details of the attack were revealed by the ASTRA Telegram channel. Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the oil depot was attacked by the Special Operations Forces in cooperation with their colleagues from the Unmanned Systems Forces.
As the authors of the resource found out, it was the Rosneft Smolensknefteprodukt oil depot in Yartsevo, Smolensk region. According to journalists' sources in the emergency services of the Russian region, the attack by 11 drones damaged two 700-cubic-meter tanks with oil products.
One of them contained gasoline, the other diesel fuel. The tanks were allegedly not completely filled and caught fire.
On the morning of December 31, Smolensk Region Governor Vasily Anokhin confirmed the attack, but said that Russian air defense allegedly shot down all Ukrainian UAVs, and "the wreckage of one of the drones fell on the territory of the oil depot."
At the same time, the head of the Yartsevsky district, Roman Zakharov, said that the attack on the fuel and energy complex facility allegedly only resulted in fuel spills and the ignition of fuels and lubricants.

According to him, the SBU officers struck dozens of military targets in the Russian rear: airfields, weapons arsenals and oil depots.
