Vitaliy had a disastrous start to the race, making one inaccurate shot at the first firing line and dropping to 38th place, more than a minute behind the leader. The Ukrainian did much better in the second firing line. He took full advantage of his competitors' mistakes, worked cleanly and moved up to 4th place (+19.5).

He was beaten by the world champion (2022) Jakob Kulbin, but at the last firing line the Estonian fired 6 shots instead of the allowed five, which is why he was disqualified. This was the first medal for Ukraine at Euro 2024. Another representative of our national team, Stepan Kinash, finished 34th in the mass start.
