After Pugacheva's frank statement, Grebenshchikov called Russia a prison and emphasized the value of freedom

Boris Grebenshchikov called Russia a prison after Pugacheva's statements

Famous Russian musician Boris Grebenshchikov, who has been condemning the Putin regime since 2014, explained why he remains abroad and is in no hurry to return home. According to the artist, it is "more convenient for him to work in freedom than in prison." The rocker realizes that upon his return to Russia, he will receive a "warm welcome" from law enforcement officers subordinate to the Kremlin, who will easily put him behind bars for all his previous statements.

The artist shared his thoughts in an interview with Russian Forbes Talk. According to Grebenshchikov, he values his freedom very much and hopes that one day the rest of Russia will also realize that people can make choices and not just follow the orders of a dictatorial government.

"I am not returning to Russia for a very simple reason. I still have my apartment in St. Petersburg, I have a lot of friends there, and everything else. But by a bizarre whim of fate, every policeman I meet on the street can show me something. And it may not be very positive for me. I was told this quite directly. And no one will let me play concerts. It's more convenient for me to work not in prison, but on the outside. On the second day of the war, I openly said everything I thought about this. I still read newspapers and hear what MPs say about me," the singer openly admitted.

Grebenshchikov drew a clear analogy between life and the gym. If you take all the heavy things out of the latter - barbells, dumbbells, etc. - the gym will have to be closed. It's the same in life - it can't be all easy and no stress. Sometimes you have to work hard - "lift heavy weights". And this is how development appears, how the growth process takes place.

After Pugacheva's frank statement, Grebenshchikov called Russia a prison and emphasized the value of freedom

"You see, if you take out the weights and all the horrible heavy things that make everyone tense, the gym will have to be closed. It's the same with our lives. You cannot remove all the sick, shameful, terrible and heavy things and leave only the light, good ones... So this is all for us to develop, for us to become better, for us to understand that we need to help each other," Grebenshchikov philosophized.

At the same time, the musician suggested that everything easy-good and hard-bad should make people realize that they always have a choice. As we know, Russians do not use this option, hiding behind fear and excuses like "everything has already been decided for us, we have no say."

"Everything that happens on Earth happens so that each of us, people, can make a choice. We could decide what we need, what we don't need. Which side he is on. Does he want to kill or does he not want to kill. Whether he will help or not... Our task is to show people that there is a choice... That you don't have to go where you are driven like a herd. Take this and think for yourself. No one obliges you. You are not cattle and do not allow yourself to be driven," the singer shared his thoughts.

As a reminder, the other day, singer Alla Pugacheva addressed the Russians. She could not stand the false accusations in the propaganda media, so she answered many questions that concerned her fellow citizens and outlined her political position. In her frank statements, she once again called her corrupt colleagues "serfs and slaves".

As OBOZ.UA wrote, after the outbreak of a full-scale war, Alla Borisovna, her husband Maxim Galkin and their children left Russia. From abroad, the impersonator actively condemned the actions of the Putin regime and supported Ukrainians, and the singer made it clear that she shared his opinion. Pugacheva publicly asked to be recognized as a "foreign agent".
