After his victory over Kambosos, Lomachenko left a message on social media, mentioning peace. Photo fact
IBF lightweight world champion Vasyl Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs) after his victory over Australian George Kambosos (21-3, 10 KOs) addressed his social media followers with a short message. The 36-year-old native of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi thanked God for everything and wished everyone peace.
"Glory to you, Lord, glory to you! Peace to all!" Vasyl wrote, attaching two photos from the show in Perth. In one, Loma is baptized, looking up, and in the second, he walks to the ring for a fight with an Australian.
Under the photos, users bombarded the Ukrainian boxer with comments in Russian.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the fight between Lomachenko and Kambosos (21-3, 10 KOs) ended early.
After Lomachenko punched the Australian right in the liver, he took a knee, and the referee counted the knockdown. George got up, but the fight didn't last long. A few seconds later, Vasyl knocked his opponent out with another punch to the body.
It should be reminded that after the victory, Vasyl did not mention Ukraine. During a flash interview in the ring, the 36-year-old native of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi thanked God, his opponent and "all the people".
Later, the judges' notes were published, which made it clear who won until the 11th round.
We would like to remind you that in his last fight on May 21, Lomachenko lost to WBC, IBF, WBA Super, WBO titles holder Devin Haynie (30-0, 15 KOs) and failed to become an absolute champion. The lightweight fight in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena lasted all 12 rounds and ended with a unanimous decision of 116-112, 115-113, 115-113.
