"A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" will be renewed: what is known about the second season
The popular Netflix series "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" will get a new season based on a new detective story. Emma Myers will return to the role of Pip, and Zayn Iqbal will play Raveen Singh again.
According to the Tudum blog, the next part of the youth detective show will consist of six episodes. The story will begin with the pair of protagonists solving the mystery of the missing student Andy Bell. The first season was adapted for the screen by Poppy Kogan, and the second season is based on Good Girl, Bad Blood, the second book in Holly Jackson's detective series, which they will co-write.
The first season of The Good Girl's Guide to Murder was released on Netflix in August 2024 and debuted at number one on the global list of the top 10 series in English. The second season is scheduled to start filming in 2025. There is no release date for the new episodes yet. The premiere will take place on Netflix worldwide, except for the UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. In the UK and Ireland, the show will be available on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
In the new installment, after the previous case is solved, Pip's world changes, and not always for the better. She decides to correct the negative consequences and not to take up the investigation anymore. But as the trial of Max Hastings approaches, a key witness, Jamie Reynolds, suddenly disappears, and Pip has to look for him. The new mystery will lead her to unexpected places, as the fight for justice will further distance her from the image of the "good girl" she once was.
