Miley Cyrus' look on the Grammy red carpet impressed the audience

The world-famous American singer Miley Cyrus was remembered at the 66th Grammy Awards not only for winning her first statuette but also for her spectacular and somewhat daring look on the red carpet. The 31-year-old star chose a Maison Margiela dress for her impressive appearance, exclusively created for her by the fashion house's creative director John Galliano. To make the golden outfit, 14 thousand pins were used, and it took the craftsmen 675 hours of work to combine them.

This was reported on the brand's Instagram page, publishing footage of the creation of a dress that is going to become a cult (if it hasn't already). OBOZ.UA decided to tell you other interesting details about Cyrus' look, including her hairstyle, which has made a lot of noise on the Internet.

So, as we've already noted, the dress Miley Cyrus wore on the Grammy red carpet was made of 14,000 hand-connected golden English pins. It took 675 hours of hard work, after which the singer's look was recognized as one of the best at the ceremony.

The Maison Margiela dress has a sophisticated neckline, sculptural stud details on the bust, a mesh design on the torso, a metal sculpture at the waist, decorated arms, and a mesh skirt with slits. The look was complemented by yellow velvet shoes with intertwined straps in the shape of a faux lizard Tabi, created by Christian Louboutin as part of the Maison Margiela Artisanal 2024 collection.

The outfit was custom-made and inspired by John Galliano's Fall/Winter 1996 collection. And now let's "teleport" back to 1997 and see the Ukrainian-born Hollywood star Milla Jovovich wearing a John Galliano dress at the presentation of the cult film The Fifth Element. There is no point in talking about the similarity of these two looks, created almost 30 years apart, as everything is visible in the collage.

We can't ignore Miley's lush hair, which also made a lot of noise at the Grammys. According to the artist's hairstylist Bob Recine, in honor of the movie Barbarella, a 1960s space odyssey starring Jane Fonda, Cyrus' hairstyle "was made of a huge height and a cascade of blowing layers."

"I wanted to create a look that felt fresh and modern but also drew inspiration from the past. The hair is loose and big but still a little disheveled to feel sexy and help Miley feel confident. We left the hairstyle a little bit punk, which blends in the modern world," Recine told InStyle.
