How to restore bright color to faded things: home life hacks

Repeated washing spoils the appearance of clothes, and improperly selected detergents and washing machine settings contribute to fading. Not always expensive chemical mixtures can return a bright color to your favorite things.

But OBOZ.UA has found effective tips to help you cope with this on your own. Ingredients familiar to us will save clothes from dullness.

Tea leaves

If your sweater or dress is brown or beige, tea leaves will restore a rich shade to it. Brew black tea in a large container and let it brew well so that the liquid becomes a bright color. Then soak the necessary things in a bowl and wait 3-4 hours. Rinse the clothes under running water and dry them.

Baking soda

Baking soda will help restore the lost blue shades. Pour warm water into a container and add a glass of baking soda, mix everything thoroughly and soak the clothes in the liquid. Leave it for 2-3 hours and rinse under running water.

Salt

Salt solution is suitable for colored clothes. Mix a few tablespoons of salt in warm water and soak the clothes. Leave it for 2-3 hours, then wash the clothes with laundry soap, but do not twist the fabric after washing. Just hang the clothes outdoors or in a well-ventilated room.

Orange peels

If yellow and orange items have lost their bright color, orange peels will restore the rich hue. Prepare a decoction and soak your clothes in it overnight. Then rinse under running water and dry.
