How not to fall on the ice

Winter gives us not only beautiful landscapes, but also the possibility of falling or slipping on icy roads. You need to choose the right shoes that will help you avoid an unpleasant situation on the ice, but if you still feel that you cannot keep your balance, the main thing is not to panic and not to fuss.

OBOZ.UA has found an interesting method that will reduce the risk of falling in winter. The "penguin walk" will help to cope with the weather.

The secret of the "penguin walk" is that when you walk like this, the center of gravity of your body is directly above the leading leg and this reduces the risk of falling.

Point your feet outward and stretch your arms slightly to the side, just like penguins do. Take small steps and watch your center of gravity.

You should also prepare your shoes for winter so that they are not slippery. Winter boots should be warm, comfortable, and have a tread on the sole. If the tread is weak, make shallow cuts to add grooves.

You can also buy a slip-resistant sticker for the sole or use an adhesive tape to be safe. Take two pieces for each boot and stick them parallel or crosswise on a dry, clean sole.
