Grease and soot disappear in a flash: a natural product helps to clean the oven perfectly

Life hacks for cleaning the oven

Cleaning the oven is a tedious and difficult task, so people usually try to put it off. But in this case, as in all others, regularity is important. Grease, dirt, and food residues burn when exposed to high temperatures, and it becomes very difficult to clean the surfaces over time.

Experts say that for efficient operation, the oven should be cleaned as it gets dirty, but at least once every three months. The Express publication told us which natural and safe product will help to perfectly clean grease and soot.

Rachael Kiss, a specialist from Alliance Online, shared an algorithm for thoroughly cleaning the appliance.

  • Remove the oven racks and apply a high-quality cleaning agent to the interior surfaces.
  • The detergent does not need to be rinsed off quickly. The secret is to completely dissolve burnt-on grease and dirt first.
  • After 30 to 40 minutes, wipe the inside of the oven and rinse thoroughly with warm water to remove any residual detergent.

Follow the above steps to clean the oven racks.

Natural ingredients help clean the oven

The cleaning specialists at Bio-D have come up with a more natural solution: citric acid and baking soda.

Using products with strong chemical ingredients can cause harmful fumes when heated, so it's safer to use natural ingredients. Mix the baking soda and water until a paste is formed, coat the bottom of the oven and the racks, and leave for 20 minutes. Then wipe the surfaces with a sponge dampened with water and dry microfiber cloths.

Alternatively, mix baking soda and lemon juice and apply the paste to the inside of the appliance, avoiding the heating elements.

When cleaning the oven, do not use hard sponges that can scratch the glass.
