Waffle cake with coconut filling: a familiar dish in a new way

Waffle cake is one of our favorite childhood favorites. Everyone is used to making it with condensed milk, but why not try a different filling?

This is the opinion of food blogger Anna. On her Instagram, she suggested making a waffle cake with coconut filling.

Ingredients

  • milk - 350 gr
  • semolina - 60 gr
  • sugar - 150 gr
  • coconut flakes - 120 gr
  • butter - 150 g

The method of preparation

1. Bring milk to a boil, add semolina and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly.

2. Add coconut flakes, stir until smooth, remove from the stove, and transfer to a bowl.

3. Add sugar, vanilla sugar and butter to the hot mass and beat with a blender.

4. Cover with cling film and cool completely.

5. Spread the coconut filling over the waffle cakes.

6. Garnish as desired and refrigerate for 2 hours.
