The best creamy pate with mushrooms for the New Year's table

Pate is a dish that is perfect for both a regular breakfast and a festive table. This appetizer will never lose its popularity as it is very variable and recipes can be changed depending on individual tastes.

And there are pate recipes that don't need to be changed at all. All because they are simply perfect. One of these recipes was recently shared on Instagram by a food blogger with the nickname grigorieva_ak.

Ingredients

  • onion - 2 pieces
  • carrots - 1 pc
  • mushrooms - 200-300 gr
  • chicken liver - 500 gr
  • butter - 30-40 gr
  • cream - 50-100 ml
  • salt
  • pepper
  • dry garlic

Method of preparation

1. Chop carrots and onions and fry in a frying pan with vegetable oil.

2. Add a small amount of water and simmer until the vegetables are soft.

3. Add mushrooms to the pan. They will soon release their juice. Turn on high heat and simmer until tender.

4. Put chicken liver, peeled from the veins and skin, in a separate frying pan.

5. Add butter and fry the liver for a few minutes.

6. Combine the liver with the vegetables and add cream. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes under the lid closed.

7. Beat the dish in a blender and put it into serving jars.

This pate is perfect with caramelized onions and berry jam.
