The traditional Mimosa salad with sardine can be prepared in a new way. To make the dish more refined and lighter, you can replace the fish. Cod liver will do just fine.

The idea of cooking Mimosa with cod liver was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Ilona with the nickname thefoodhub.by_ilona. You can add an apple for juiciness.

Ingredients:

  • 1-1.5 cans of cod liver
  • a quarter of a peeled apple
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 70 grams of your favorite hard cheese
  • mayonnaise
  • apple cider vinegar
  • salt, pepper to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Pre-boil carrots and eggs.

2. Finely chop the onion and pour vinegar to marinate.

3. Drain all the oil from the cod liver, put it on a plate, and mash it with a fork.

4. Grate the apple and add to the liver.

5. Grate the boiled carrots and cheese on a fine grater.

6. Peel the eggs and separate the yolks from the white - also grate.

7. Put the cod liver in the first layer, then put the pickled onions, then the carrots and grease with mayonnaise.
