You will prepare the popular Medovik cake much faster if you make it in a frying pan. The cakes are very easy to fry, they turn out fluffy and do not break. All you need to do is grease them with a delicate sour cream cream.

The idea of making an elementary Medovik in a frying pan was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Galina with the nickname reeixit . The taste is no worse than the original, which is baked in the oven.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • honey - 220 g
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • butter - 100 g
  • 2 eggs
  • flour - 500 g
  • a pinch of salt

Ingredients for the cream:

  • 550 g of sour cream (high fat, the fatter the sour cream, the thicker the cream will be)
  • 100 g of sugar (you can use more, to your taste)

How to make the cream:

Beat the sour cream and sugar until fluffy.

For soaking:

  • 170 ml of milk

Method of preparation:

1. Heat honey and baking soda over low heat, stirring constantly until brown. Turn off.

2. Immediately add the butter, stir it, cool the mixture a little.

3. Add the eggs, stir, add the flour and knead the dough, which will be sticky - this is normal.

4. Put the dough in a bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

5. Then cut into 8-10 pieces, roll out a thin layer no more than 2 mm thick, because the dough will grow during baking.

6. Place the parchment on a preheated griddle, wait about 1 minute for the cake to set, remove the parchment, cover and bake until cooked on both sides.

7. Bake for about 2 minutes on one side.

8. Soak the cooled cakes with milk. Each cake takes 3 tablespoons of milk: pour 1 spoon, smooth it out, wait 30-40 seconds until the milk is absorbed, then pour 2 spoons and the 3rd spoon.

9. Put 3 tablespoons of cream on the cake, smooth it out, top it with the cake-milk-cream again.

10. Put the finished cake in the cold for 8-10 hours.
