Russian national team midfielder Danil Glebov, with his traditional sense of self-importance, accused the Pakistanis of disrespect. According to the Rostov player, the Asian national team disrupted a sparring match between the rivals in October when it allegedly tried to send "random" players to Moscow.

Glebov said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency R-Sport. The 24-year-old Tomsk native spoke derogatorily about the level of the Pakistani national team, noting that it is much more interesting for Russians to hold a training session or an open lesson with schoolchildren.

"Playing with Pakistan, given their attitude, even though we don't know the details of the negotiations, is not respectful. It is disrespectful to a country like Russia. This is not the way to do it! It is easier to say: we are playing or not playing. We played the game, which was clear and understandable to everyone, everyone understood what was coming. Playing with "people from Pakistan" doesn't sound good. That's why I say it's better to have two or three training sessions with the kids. Globally, it's more beneficial for everyone than playing with Pakistan," Hlebov said.

It should be noted that in October, after Pakistan and Zanzibar, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Brazil refused to play with the Russian national football team.
