"The most boring show in history": the first Victoria's Secret show in six years, where Russian Irina Shayk was invited, turned out to be a failure

The public criticized the show of the new Victoria's Secret collection, which was held for the first time in the last 6 years. It was called boring and soulless. The audience saw both new faces of the brand and well-known "angels" on the catwalk, but it was alarming that Russian Irina Shayk was also invited to take part in the fashion show.

"Fashion is out of politics" - this is how the slogan of this year's show can be formulated because of the participation of a supermodel from the Russian Federation who does not forget about her roots abroad. She tries to instill Russian in her daughter by communicating with her in her native language, not in English or any other language. "The Victoria's Secret show is back. It will reflect who we are today, as well as everything you know and love: glamor, wings, music, and much more!" the show's organizers explained.

To keep up with current trends, several transgender models were invited to the show. The Daily Mail writes that the show started with a person from the LGBT community - Brazilian model Valentina Sampaio, who became the first transgender person to represent the brand in 2019.

In total, 52 "angels" from 25 different countries, including Russia, took part in the show. Russia was represented by Irina Shayk. This gave her the opportunity to demonstrate the "real Russian beauty" that Russians are so proud of. Recently, she has been delighting her compatriots with her knowledge of the native language abroad. According to the Russian media, a few days ago she posted a video on Instagram of herself and her daughter admiring dolphins jumping out of the water.

"Did you see it?" the model asked the child. "Yes," the girl replied in Russian.

As for Victoria's Secret, their fashion shows were canceled in 2019 after the brand was criticized for idealizing and sexualizing women. Only "angels" with perfect figures appeared on the catwalks, and plus-size models were not invited. This year, the brand decided to make amends and show its lingerie on women with curves and transgender people.

However, this did not make the audience admire the new "concept". On social network X, the brand was criticized for a boring show.
