Ozzy Osbourne's former guitarist was shot while walking his dog: what is the musician's condition

Jake Lee, the former guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne, received multiple gunshot wounds in Las Vegas on October 15. City law enforcement officials said that the musician was shot at around three in the morning when he took his dog outside.

Lee was immediately taken to the hospital, the Associated Press reports. The attacker was not detained at the scene, but the investigation is ongoing.

Amanda Kagan, the artist's representative, confirmed the shooting, adding that Lee is conscious and "expected to make a full recovery." "As the incident is under police investigation, there will be no further comment. Lee and his family appreciate the respect for their privacy," the statement said.

Kagan also reported that the shooting occurred while Lee was walking his dog. "By the grace of God, no major organs were injured," Tim Hain, manager of Lee's rock band Red Dragon Cartel, told AP.

Lee, 67, was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and raised in San Diego. In the 1980s, he played guitar in several bands on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, including an early version of Ratt. In 1982, he joined Ozzy Osbourne's band and remained in it until 1987. He later played in the metal band Badlands and released several solo albums. Most recently, he was the leader of the Red Dragon Cartel.
