How to pickle lard in a jar for the winter: a classic recipe
Lard is not only a national dish of Ukraine, but also a favorite snack for strong alcoholic beverages. There are legends about lard that are passed down from generation to generation.
In addition, hundreds of recipes for cooking this wonderful product are passed down from generation to generation. It can be salted, boiled, fried, pickled, and much more. And the Ukrainian Delicacies YouTube channel decided to share the recipe for lard in a jar.
Method of preparation
1. Cut the lard into large pieces, but such that they fit into a three-liter jar.
2. Roll the lard in salt on all sides, creating a crust.
3. Put the lard in a jar and cover with cling film. Leave it in a cool place for a day. The liquid should be released.
4. Remove the film, turn the jar into a bowl, and place a toothpick under the neck to help the liquid drain out better. Leave it for three hours.
5. Sterilize the lids and put them in the jars.
