How to make delicious rice porridge with milk: a perfect breakfast option
Rice milkshake is a light and hearty breakfast dish. It, like oatmeal, can be supplemented with apples, banana, favorite berries and dried fruits. Do not forget to wash rice thoroughly before cooking and let the porridge steep - so it will be fragrant and tender.
Chef Alexander Gorodnik(o_gorodnik) on his Instagram page shared a recipe for rice porridge with coconut milk, which is delicious served with coconut sauce and mango.
Ingredients for 3 servings:
- rice - 200 g
- water - 300 ml
- coconut milk - 100 ml
- sugar - 50g
Coconut sauce:
- coconut milk - 200 ml
- 30 % cream - 100 ml
- sugar - 50 gr
To serve:
- mango
- hazelnut
- mint
Method of preparation:
1. First you need to wash the rice with cold water 2-3 times.
2. After that, pour it into a pot, pour the milk and add sugar. Bring to a boil, turn down the heat to low, cover and cook for 12-15 minutes. When the rice is cooked, stir and leave to stand under a lid for another 10-15 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Mix the milk, cream and sugar in a saucepan, put on the fire and bring to the boil. Once it boils, take it off immediately.
4. To serve, slice the mango and mint into thin slices and toast the hazelnuts.
5. Before serving, mix the rice with the sauce and place on a plate. Place mango, sprinkle with mint and hazelnuts.
