How to cook ratatouille vegetable casserole: the recipe
Usually, the name of the dish sometimes "scares" housewives and they mistakenly think that it is very difficult to prepare. In fact, ratatouille is an extremely tasty vegetable casserole for which you can use all the vegetables you have in the fridge. It turns out to be a delicious dish with tomato sauce.
The recipe for vegetable ratatouille was shared by Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko on his website.
Ingredients:
- squash- 1 pc
- zucchini - 1 pc
- eggplant - 1 pc
- tomato - 10 pieces
- thyme - 3 sprigs
- vegetable oil - 5 tbsp
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut squash, zucchini, 7 tomatoes, and eggplant into rings.
2. For the base you need to prepare the sauce. To do this, cut the pepper and tomatoes into cubes. Fry in vegetable oil. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Blend the cooked vegetables in a blender until smooth.
4. Pour the resulting sauce evenly into the baking dish.
5. Put slices of vegetables on top of the sauce so that they alternate with each other. Fill the baking dish with vegetables.
6. Drizzle the vegetables with vegetable oil. Add the thyme and sprinkle with pepper.
7. Cover the baking dish with parchment or foil. Bake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
