Delicious autumn cabbage salad: worth eating during a period of vitamin deficiency
Vegetable salad is an ideal dish during the period of autumn vitamin deficiency. It is also very tasty. Especially if you choose crispy fresh cabbage for the base.
The idea of making an autumn cabbage salad was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Maksym with the nickname nekuhar. The dish can be stored in the refrigerator for quite a long time.
Ingredients (per 1 liter):
- medium head of cabbage - 0.5 pcs
- carrots - 1 pc
- red bell pepper - 1 pc
- white pepper - 1 pc
- small shallots - 4 pcs
- sugar - 1 tbsp
- salt - 1 tbsp
- apple cider vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- oil - 2-3 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the cabbage into thin long strips.
2. Grate the carrots on a Korean grater.
3. Cut pepper into strips, onion into small half rings.
4. Mix salt and sugar and grind into fine crumbs.
5. Put the shredded cabbage in a large bowl, add salt and pepper, and mix well with your hands.
6. Add the remaining vegetables, vinegar and oil.
7. Stir and toss again.
8. Cover with a plate and place a jar of water on top.
9. Keep under the press for 20-25 minutes - the cabbage should release its juice.
10. Place in a jar, tamp well.
11. Put in a cold place for 2 days. Serve with potatoes and meat dishes.
