Cabbage soup is the first dish that is often prepared in winter. It is a very nutritious soup full of vitamins and nutrients. It's also incredibly tasty and loved by almost everyone.

There are many recipes for cabbage soup, but they all have one thing in common: the presence of a large amount of meat and sauerkraut. Also, cabbage soup is often cooked over an open fire. That's how celebrity chef Volodymyr Yaroslavsky cooked it the last time, and he shared it on Instagram.

Ingredients

  • Pork ribs - 1 kg
  • Carrots - 250 gr
  • Onion - 200 gr
  • Celery root - 150 gr
  • Sauerkraut - 500 gr
  • Tomatoes in their own juice - gr
  • Peeled potatoes - 500 g
  • Water - 2.5-3 liters
  • Millet - 100 g
  • Salt
  • Allspice
  • Black pepper
  • Thyme or oregano
  • Oil for frying

Method of preparation

1. Fry the pork ribs in oil in a cauldron.

2. Add chopped carrots, onions and celery root. Fry well.

3. Add the tomatoes and simmer for a while. Add salt, pepper and dried herbs. Cook over low heat for 1-1.5 hours.

4. Add millet and potatoes. Cook for another 30 minutes.

5. Add sauerkraut and cook for another 15 minutes.

6. Serve with sour cream.
