Zucchini waffles for a snack: this dough can also be used to make fritters

Waffles are a delicious and quick dish for breakfast or snack, which can be prepared in 10 minutes. They can be made sweet - with caramel, banana, condensed milk, ice cream or apples, as well as savory - with minced meat, meat, cheese and even vegetables.

Food blogger Julia with the nickname zefirok_recipes on her Instagram page shared a recipe for zucchini waffles, the dough for which can also be used to make fritters.

Ingredients:

  • zucchini - 600 g
  • eggs - 2 pcs
  • sour cream - 3 tbsp.
  • hard cheese - 100 g
  • flour - 6-8 tbsp.
  • leavening agent - 1 tsp.
  • dill and parsley
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • salt, pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Wash zucchini and cut into small cubes. Transfer them to a bowl.

2 Grate the hard cheese and mince the garlic. Add to zucchini.

3. Also add the remaining ingredients to the zucchini: salt, pepper, eggs, sour cream, herbs, flour and leavening agent. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

4. Grease a waffle iron with vegetable oil on both sides and fry waffles from the batter. If you don't have a waffle iron, cook the fritters in a frying pan. Bon appetit!
