When to salt the barbecue to make it juicy and tender: this is important to know
Homemade barbecue is a delicious meat dish that is cooked on the grill, in the oven, or in a frying pan, depending on the season. You can use any kind of meat: chicken, pork, veal, beef, and even lamb. But to make it successful, it's not enough to make a marinade.
Food blogger Julia with the nickname juli_co.ok shared a recipe for a delicious homemade pork kebab on her Instagram page. The chef notes that to make the barbecue especially juicy and tender, salt and pepper should be added at the end of cooking.
Ingredients:
- pork neck - 2 kg
- onions - 3 pcs
- ayran \ whey - 1 liter
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. First, cut the meat into steaks, then cut each in half. Put them in a deep container.
2. Cut the onion into half rings, add the meat, and lightly mash it with your hands to release the juice. Mix everything.
3. Pour in the ayran or whey. Stir and leave to marinate for 1 day.
4. The next day, put the kebab on the grill without adding onions. Put the future kebab to fry.
5. When the meat is browned on both sides, add salt and pepper to taste.
