  • baking powder – 5 g (1 tsp)
  • vegetable oil – 25 g (2 tbsp)
  • sugar – 30 g (2 tbsp)
  • salt – 1/2 tsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Beat an egg into a bowl, add sugar (30 g or 2 tbsp) and salt (1/2 tsp). At this stage, you can add vanilla sugar if desired. Stir with a mixer or simply with a whisk until smooth and the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.

2. Add the milk (210 g) and stir.

3. Pour in the oil and mix well again.

4. Sift the flour (200 g) and baking powder (1 tsp) into a separate bowl.

5. Mix everything very thoroughly with a whisk.

6. the baking powder must be evenly mixed with the flour, otherwise it may turn out that in some parts of the dough, there is no baking powder at all, and then it will not rise, or vice versa, there will be too much baking powder, and you may taste soda.

7. Add the sifted flour and baking powder to the bowl with the dough. Stir until smooth, but try to work quickly, if you knead the dough for a long time, gluten will begin to develop in the flour and the pancakes may turn out rubbery instead of soft.

8. Bake the pancakes immediately, and do not leave them for later (to be precise, pancakes are usually baked, not fried).

9. Bake in a dry frying pan without oil, which is why pancakes are so evenly browned and smooth.
