Traditionally, flour or semolina is added to make syrniki hold their shape. However, this dish is not suitable for those watching their figure. A healthy alternative is to add chia seeds.
The idea of making fluffy syrniki with flax seeds was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yaryna Yagelskaya (yagelskaya_i).
Ingredients:
- Soft cheese - 200 g
- Egg - 1
- Sugar - 1 tbsp
- Chia seeds - 1-2 tsp
- Flour - 2-3 tbsp
Method of preparation:
1. Beat cottage cheese with egg and sugar in a blender.
2. Add the chia seeds.
3. Leave for 5-10 minutes.
4. Add 1-2 tbsp of flour.
5. Form the syrniki.
6. Roll in flour and make a cup shape.
7. Fry in a dry non-stick frying pan.
8. You can also fry in butter or bake in the oven.
