What meat goes best with delicious stewed cabbage: recipe
It often happens that cabbage becomes very dry during stewing. To avoid this, you need to choose the right meat for the dish. It should be moderately fatty and juicy.
The idea of cooking delicious stewed cabbage was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Halyna with the nickname cooking_with_gala . Pork ribs are ideal for this dish.
Ingredients:
- 950 g sauerkraut
- 800 g of ribs
- 50 ml of oil
- 2 carrots
- 1 onion
- 1/4 tsp of black pepper
- 1/4 tsp of red pepper
- 1 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tsp. seasoning (tomatoes, basil, garlic)
- 70 g of tomato paste
Method of preparation:
1. Cover cabbage with cold water.
2. Cook until tender.
3. Squeeze and chop the cabbage.
4. Rinse ribs and dry them with a paper towel.
5. Pour oil into a pan. Put the ribs.
6. Simmer on low heat for 1-1.5 hours. Turn over from time to time.
7. Remove the ribs and separate the meat into fibers.
8. Put chopped onions and carrots in a saucepan, simmer until tender, add seasonings, meat, cabbage, and tomato paste.
9. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes.
