You don't have to buy different ketchups with coloring if you make this homemade tomato sauce for the winter. It is suitable for absolutely any dish: borscht, pizza, pasta or can be eaten with meat.

The idea of making tomato sauce for borscht, pasta, and pizza was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Myroslava Krutiy (miroslavakrutii). This preparation is made from natural ingredients and is perfectly stored.

Method of preparation:

1. Grind the tomatoes in a blender bowl with the onion and garlic.

2. Cook this mass for 2-3 hours (it all depends on the amount of the finished mass). Do not cover with a lid.

3. Add seasonings:

  • Italian herbs
  • curry
  • salt
  • sugar
  • vinegar (just a little)

4. Beat everything with an immersion blender.

5. Bring to a boil.

6. Pour into jars.

7. Sterilize for 10-15 minutes.

8. It is possible without sterilization, then the jars and lids should be sterile and cooled under the lid. You can always add other seasonings and there will be a different taste.
