Teriyaki sauce in 10 minutes: a simple recipe at home

Real and high-quality teriyaki sauce is sometimes hard to find on store shelves, and if you're lucky, the price can be staggering. But you can make such a sauce at home in just 10 minutes and it will be indistinguishable from the store-bought one – it will be even better. Teriyaki will brightly complement meat, chicken, and even better, salmon and sushi.

Food blogger Olha Bilous (bilous_olha) shared a recipe for a spicy teriyaki sauce on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • soy sauce – 100 ml
  • water – 70 ml
  • sugar – 60 g
  • honey – 1 tbsp.
  • wine vinegar – 1 tbsp.
  • grated white ginger – 1 tsp.
  • garlic – 4-5 cloves
  • starch – 3 tsp.
  • refined vegetable oil – 1 tsp.

Method of preparation:

1. First, prepare some ingredients: pass the garlic through a press and grate the ginger.

2. Mix all the ingredients. Put on medium heat.

3. Stirring occasionally, cook the sauce until it boils. And after boiling, cook for another 2 minutes.

4. Strain the finished sauce through a sieve.
