Lemon-orange granita is a dessert that will perfectly quench your thirst in the summer heat. If you want something cool and refreshing, this dish is perfect even instead of a cocktail. It contains spicy and healthy ingredients that combine well with each other and have a very pleasant taste and aroma.

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • water – 2 cups
  • sugar or alternative syrup to taste – 1/2 cup
  • chopped ginger root – 1 pc.
  • lemon – 1 pc.
  • large orange – 1 pc.
  • gin – 50 ml

Method of preparation:

1. Pour water into a saucepan, then add sugar and ginger.

2. Send to the fire. Bring to a boil and cook for 2-4 minutes.

3. Grate lemon and orange zest. Squeeze the juice of the orange and lemon. Add the zest and juice to the water, cover the saucepan, and let it cool completely, strain, pour in the gin, pour into a container, and put in the freezer for at least 4 hours.

4. Due to the alcohol, the dessert can be scraped into ice crumbs with a spoon without much effort.

5. Put the dessert in portioned chilled cups and serve immediately.
