Steak with adjika: a manly dish for a delicious lunch

The dish prepared according to this recipe can be called a pearl of southern Ukraine. The tomato spicy-sweet sauce combined with the rich flavor of juicy steak will bring real pleasure to any taste buds.

The recipe for this incredible dish was posted on Instagram by a food blogger named alisa cooper. By the way, it is prepared using affordable products that can be purchased at a convenience store.

Fry the steak on each side for 3 minutes


  • tomatoes - 300 gr
  • onions - ½ pc
  • garlic - 6-7 cloves
  • celery - 3 stalks
  • hot chili pepper
  • sweet smoked paprika - 1 tbsp
  • ground cinnamon - ½ tsp
  • ground coriander - ½ tsp.
  • sugar - 1 tsp.
  • salt - 1 tsp.

Method of preparation

1. Put the tomatoes in boiling water for one minute. Remove the peel and pass through a blender.

2. Pour oil into a saucepan, put on fire and add finely chopped onion, celery, garlic and spices. Fry for 5 minutes.

Cut the celery into small pieces

3. Add the tomatoes, sugar and salt to the saucepan. Cook over low heat for 40 minutes or until the liquid has almost evaporated.

Peel the tomatoes and pass them through a blender

4. Heat a frying pan over high heat with oil and butter.

5. Dry the steak with a paper towel and put it in the pan. Fry for 3 minutes on each side.

6. Put the steak on a plate and cover with foil. Leave it for 3 minutes.
