Simpler than fried pies: easy mashed potato cheesecakes for a snack in 10 minutes
Potatoes are not just an ingredient for making mashed potatoes, casseroles, or pies. They can be used to make hearty and delicious cheesecakes, supplemented with cottage cheese. They are very satisfying, with a viscous filling and a golden crust.
Food blogger Varvara with the nickname valerikiry shared a recipe for potato cheesecakes on her Instagram page, which you can easily prepare in 10 minutes if you already have mashed potatoes ready.
Ingredients:
- potatoes – 600 g
- flour – 150 g
- hard cheese – 300 g
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the potatoes, cut them, cover them with water, and boil until tender. When ready, mash the potatoes to a puree, adding salt.
2. Add flour and your favorite spices to the mashed potatoes. Stir until smooth.
3. Grate the cheese for the filling.
4. Form the dough into balls, wrapping the cheese inside.
5. Fry the cheesecakes in a frying pan on both sides until golden brown. Enjoy!
