Simple and delicious holiday sandwiches from croutons: two options

One of the easiest appetizers to prepare for the holidays is sandwiches. It takes very little time and you can combine many different ingredients. And crispy croutons are perfect for the base.

The idea of making basic holiday sandwiches from croutons was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Natalia with the nickname nata.cooking. Here are two simple options.

Ingredients for the first version:

• croutons
• boiled eggs
• cream cheese
• mayonnaise
• spices (salt, pepper, Provence herbs)
• redfish
• cucumber
• arugula, sesame seeds, balsamic sauce

Ingredients for the second version:

• croutons
• cream cheese
• mushrooms
• sun-dried tomatoes
• mozzarella cheese
• green onions

How to make redfish sandwiches:

1. For the spread, combine boiled egg, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and spices.

2. Mash everything with a fork until smooth and spread on the croutons.

3. Top with a slice of fresh cucumber (cut with a vegetable peeler) and redfish and garnish with arugula. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and pour balsamic sauce.

Method of cooking sandwiches with mushrooms:

1. Cut mushrooms into slices and fry in a drop of oil until golden brown (1-2 minutes on each side).

2. Spread cream cheese on the croutons.

3. Put the mushrooms and sliced sun-dried tomatoes, sprinkle with cheese and put in the oven.

4. Bake at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes. The cheese should melt.

5. Take out, sprinkle with green onions and serve immediately.
