Quick Korean carrots without seasoning: a recipe for a popular appetizer
Korean carrots are a spicy cold appetizer and salad at the same time, which is very easy to prepare at home. Carrots can be immediately supplemented with a special seasoning, or made without it using fragrant spices.
Food blogger Tetiana with the nickname tetianna_gan shared a recipe for Korean carrots on her Instagram page, which you can easily cook without seasoning.
Ingredients:
- carrots - 1 kg
- sugar - 3 tbsp. l
- salt - 1 tsp.
- pepper - 1 tsp.
- vinegar - 4 tbsp. l.
- coriander - 0.5 tsp.
- garlic - 1 head
- vegetable oil - 100 ml
Method of preparation:
1. First, peel and grate the carrots on a Korean grater. Grated carrots should be exactly 1 kg. Put it in a deep bowl.
2. Add sugar, salt, pepper and coriander to the carrots.
3. Also add vinegar and garlic chopped through a press.
4. Heat the vegetable oil until hot, but do not boil it.
Important: the oil should never be boiled, as it will release toxic substances and make the salad bitter.
5. Pour the oil over the garlic. Mix everything thoroughly, put it in a container, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Enjoy!
