Perfect potato wedges: you need one simple life hack
The main feature of delicious potato wedges is its soft center and crispy top. If you simply cut the vegetable into pieces and put it in the oven, you won't get the desired effect. You need to use the following life hack.
The idea of cooking perfect potato wedges was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Victoria with the nickname viktoria__cooking. The life hack is to pour boiling water over the potatoes and then cover them with cling film for 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 2 kg
- salt - 2 tsp
- black pepper - 1 tsp.
- sweet paprika - 2 tsp.
- dried garlic - 1.5 tsp.
- corn starch - 3-4 tbsp
- oil - 3 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the potatoes very well.
2. Cut into 4-6 slices.
3. Pour boiling water over it.
4. Cover with cling film and leave for 20 minutes.
5. After that, dry the potatoes very well with a paper towel.
6. Add salt, pepper, sweet paprika, dried garlic, starch, oil and mix very well.
7. Put on a baking sheet covered with parchment.
8. Bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
