Juicy minced meat patties: what to add instead of flour
Cutlets, as a rule, can be made from different kinds of meat and minced meat, fried in a pan, or baked in the oven. In addition, you can make them without flour at all - so they will be more dietary. You can replace this ingredient with semolina.
Food blogger Victoria Kelbas(kelbas_v) on her Instagram page shared a recipe for juicy minced meat cutlets without flour.
Ingredients:
- minced meat - 800 g
- Onion - 1 pc
- eggs - 1 pc
- semolina - 100 g
- water - 100 ml
- salt - 2 tsp.
- pepper - 1 tsp.
- bay leaf + your favorite spices for the broth
Method of preparation:
1. First grate the onion on a fine grater. Add it to the mince.
Also add semolina, water, and egg. Salt and pepper, mix. Leave the minced meat for 15-20 minutes.
3. After the mince is infused, you can form cutlets. It is better to do it with wet hands.
4 Fry the cutlets in a heated frying pan with vegetable oil.
5. Transfer the fried cutlets to a saucepan, pour hot water, and add the bay leaf and seasonings. Braise everything over low heat for 30 minutes.
