How to quickly clean dishes from pastry residue: simple tips and tricks
After making delicious homemade pastries, there is always one problem: washing the dishes from the dough residue. This is quite difficult to do because the mass dries up and cannot be removed with plain water. But there are effective methods for this case.
Chefs Artur and Olena (palyanytsyabread) shared their tips on how to quickly clean dishes from dough residue on their Instagram page. If you have a dishwasher, it makes the task much easier, but you can do without it.
Ways to wash dishes from dough:
1. If you have a dishwasher, soak all dirty dishes and then put them in the dishwasher.
2. If you wash the dishes by hand, water and vinegar (regular store-bought 9%) will help in this situation. It works great because the acid quickly destroys and dissolves gluten.
How to prepare a washing solution:
1. Pour about a glass of water into a bowl, add vinegar straight from the bottle (about 50 grams).
2. First, soak everything for a while, and then start washing it with a cloth. Even dry dough can be easily washed and dissolved.
3. You can then wipe with a clean cloth or add a little water to rinse.
4. Dry with a dry towel.
5. If you are worried that gluten will clog the pipes in the kitchen, you can also use vinegar and pour a glass down the drain once a week.
