Food blogger Anastasia Solopiyka (solopiika) shared a recipe for lightly salted cucumbers with garlic and dill on her Instagram page, which can be prepared in just 10 minutes.

Recipe for lightly salted cucumbers with garlic and dill

Ingredients:

  • Cucumbers - 5 pieces
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Vinegar - 1 tsp

  • Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
  • Dill
  • Salt

Method of preparation:

1. Wash the cucumbers and cut them into quarters.

2. Salt the cucumbers.

3. Chop the dill, squeeze the garlic through a press.

4. Add the garlic, vinegar, oil and dill to the cucumbers. Stir to combine.

5. Let them stand for 5 minutes.

How to prevent the brine from turning white:

Housewives often encounter the issue of the brine turning white when pickling cucumbers. Several reasons contribute to this occurrence, including:

  • Poor-quality lids, damaged necks, or faulty seals.
  • Unsterilized products and jars.
  •  Improper storage conditions, particularly temperature.The optimal storage temperature ranges from 2 to 7 degrees Celsius.At room temperature, the pickled cucumbers can be stored for no longer than three days.
  • High chemical content in the cucumbers.
