How to make the popular warming masala tea: recipe
If you're already tired of the usual black tea, it's time to change it up. And the popular Indian masala tea, which is made based on black tea with the addition of milk and spices, will help. The result is a delicious and warming drink that everyone should try.
The recipe for masala tea was shared by the popular chef Yevhen Klopotenko on his culinary website.
Ingredients:
- milk - 300 ml
- water - 300 ml
- honey - 1 tbsp
- black leaf tea - 4 tbsp
- cinnamon - 1 stick
- anise - 1 pc
- cardamom - 5 pcs
- black peppercorns - 3 pcs
- cloves - 2 pcs
- dry ginger - 1\2 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Pour milk and water into a saucepan or small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat.
2. Add the loose-leaf tea and all the spices. Ground cinnamon and cardamom can be used.
3. Add honey and stir until completely dissolved.
4. Boil the tea for 2-3 minutes, turn off the heat, and let it brew for 5 minutes. Cover the saucepan with a lid or plate.
5. Strain the tea through a sieve.
