4. Next, pour the sugar into a saucepan, add water over low heat, and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. We are making sugar syrup. Next, add our chopped peels and stir. Squeeze half a lemon. If there are fewer tangerines, then there is fewer lemons, respectively.

5. Cook until the water has evaporated and the sugar is no longer thick. This may take 30-40 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure that all the tangerines are evenly covered in the syrup.
