How to dry walnuts in the oven properly
The walnut harvest season is in the fall. They are extremely healthy and can be added to baked goods, desserts, salads, and even snacks. To keep walnuts for as long as possible, it is recommended to dry them.

The best way to dry walnuts is in the oven. The drying process consists of the following steps:
1. First, you need to peel the nuts and sort them out, getting rid of any damaged ones.
2. Put the peeled nuts on a baking sheet. Dry in the oven at a temperature of 40-45 degrees for no more than 3 hours. Leave the oven door ajar. Within 3 hours, the temperature should rise to about 70 degrees.
3. Take the dried nuts out of the oven and leave them on a baking sheet to cool completely.
Methods and terms of storage of walnuts:
- in the freezer - 1 year;
- in the refrigerator - up to 4 months;
- in a jar - several weeks;
- in honey - 2 years.
