How to cook rice for sushi: the subtleties of cooking it
Cooking rice for sushi correctly is an asterisked task for many housewives. In the process of cooking, you need to pay attention to the type of cereal, the proportions with water, and choose the right utensils.

Therefore, the blog advises to choose a conventional multicooker or a pressure cooker for cooking. In the first case, the rice will be cooked in 25-30 minutes, and in the second - in about 10 minutes. After all, in a saucepan, the cereal often sticks to the bottom, which spoils the overall texture of the rice.
Before cooking, be sure to rinse the rice with cold water until it becomes clear. In terms of proportions, 1:1.25 (rice:water) is considered optimal.
While you are cooking the rice, prepare the special rice vinegar.
Ingredients for 2 cups of rice:
- sugar - 2 tsp.
- salt - 2 tsp.
- rice vinegar - 6 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Mix all the necessary ingredients in a saucepan and put on a small fire. No need to bring to a boil, just heat and stir until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved. It's ready!
After the rice is cooked, mix it with the dressing and mix well. Be sure to cool it down.
