How to cook moist and juicy hake in the oven: for those who do not like fried fish

Hake is a budget-friendly and easy-to-cook fish that can be cooked in different ways: steamed, fried in batter or breaded, baked with vegetables in the oven, or stewed.

On her Instagram page, food bloggerMiroslava Krutii shared an original recipe for hake in marinade and breading, which you can easily cook in the oven.

Hake recipe in the oven


  • Hake - 1 kg


  • soy sauce - 1 tbsp. l.
  • fat sour cream - 2 tbsp. l.
  • mustard - 1 tsp.
  • salt, paprika
  • onion - 1 pc


  • egg
  • coarse corn flour

Method of preparation:

1. Clean the fish and cut into large pieces. Put it in a deep bowl.

2. Mix all the necessary ingredients for the marinade: soy sauce, sour cream, mustard, spices. Also cut the onion into rings.

3. Pour the marinade over the fish and add the onion. Mix everything and leave it for 1 hour, or preferably overnight.

4. After marinating, you can proceed to baking the fish. To do this, put the onion on the bottom of the mold, then the fish, and pour the rest of the marinade on top.

5. Brush the fish with an egg and sprinkle with coarse corn flour. These two ingredients help keep the fish moist.

6. Bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
