Food blogger Oksana Bilinska (oxana_bil) shared a recipe for delicious millet porridge with milk on her Instagram page.
Ingredients for 4 servings:
- millet – 200 g
- water – 500 ml
- milk – 700 ml
- salt – 1 tsp.
- sugar – 2 tsp
- butter – 50-80 g
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the groats, and pour boiling water over them. Immediately drain the water.
2. Put the cereal in a saucepan. Pour boiling water and bring to a boil over medium heat.
3. Reduce the heat and cook until the liquid has completely evaporated. There is no need to completely cover the vessel with a lid.
4. Pour the porridge with hot boiled milk.
5. At the same time add salt and sugar. Cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. At the end add the butter.
7. Remove the porridge from the heat, cover and let it brew for another 15-20 minutes.
