How to close cucumbers for the winter without sterilization: they are very crispy
Crispy canned cucumbers are a delicious appetizer that will perfectly complement a festive table in the cool season. But it is very important to prepare the right marinade so that the vegetables do not go soft in the jar. You can even do without sterilization to make the process easier.
The idea of cooking crispy cucumbers without sterilization was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yana with the nickname whitegarden_land. The marinade is very spicy.
Recipe for a liter jar:
1. Cover the lids with hot boiled water.
2. Wash the cucumbers.
3. Put 2 dill umbrellas or 1 large one on the bottom of the jar.
4. Then the cucumbers to the very top.
5. Pour boiling water over the cucumbers in the jars.
6. Leave for 5-7 minutes.
7. After 5-7 minutes, drain the water and bring it to a boil.
8. Pour boiling water over the cucumbers in the jars again.
9. After 7 minutes, drain the water from the jars for the third time and bring it to a boil.
10. While this water is boiling, add the cucumbers to the jars:
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 5-6 peppercorns
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- Optionally, add 1 leaf of bay leaf.
11. Pour hot boiled water into the jars and tighten the jars.
