Homemade Philadelphia cream cheese with yogurt and sour cream: perfect for sandwiches
Philadelphia cream cheese is perfect for spreading on sandwiches, adding to salads or baking. And you can easily make this versatile dish at home. You need only 4 ingredients.
The idea of making homemade Philadelphia cream cheese from sour cream and yogurt was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Victoria with the nickname viktoria__cooking. It turns out to be much tastier than store-bought cheese.
Ingredients for 350 g of cream cheese:
- 300 g sour cream 20%
- 300 g Greek yogurt 8%
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method of preparation:
1. Take a deep bowl.
2. Mix Greek yogurt with sour cream.
3. Add lemon juice and salt.
4. Make a structure from a saucepan, colander, cheesecloth or muslin.
5. Put the finished mass, cover and leave in the refrigerator overnight.
6. The whey will drain off in the morning and the cheese can be consumed.
