Grated bilberry pie: a quick and incredibly tasty dessert
Grated pie is a dessert familiar to us since childhood. It is an incredibly versatile dish because it can be prepared with any filling, even salty ones. But most often, however, grated pie is made with a sweet filling, adding your favorite fruits, berries, or jam.
It is a very easy to prepare dish that does not require much time. That is why it is often on the tables of millions of housewives. And recently, food blogger Nastia Novytska shared a recipe for grated pie on Instagram, which is made with frozen bilberries. It is simply impossible to refuse such a delicacy.
Ingredients for the dough
- Butter - 200 gr
- Sugar - 200 gr
- Eggs - 2 pcs
- Salt - a pinch
- Flour - 450 gr
- Baking powder - 10 g
Ingredients for the filling
- Frozen bilberries - 400-420 g
- Sugar - 100 g (if the berry is sour, then 150 g)
- Corn starch - 2 tbsp.
Method of preparation
1. Heat the butter at room temperature until it can be mashed with a fork.
2. Add sugar and salt and mix well. Beat with a blender until smooth for 20 seconds.
3. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the butter. First mix with a fork, then with your hands.
4. Divide the dough into two parts and wrap it in cling film. Put 1/3 of the total amount of dough in the freezer and the rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
5. Mix the frozen bilberries well with starch and sprinkle with sugar.
6. Take the dough out of the refrigerator and roll it out on parchment.
7. Put the bilberries and rub the remaining dough in the freezer on top.
8. Put the pie on a baking sheet and put it in the oven for 30-35 minutes at 180 degrees.
