Double cheese pizza on pita bread: cooked in a pan
Pizza can be made from different doughs and even from pita bread. For toppings, you can use any cheese, vegetables, sausage, herbs, cream cheese.
Cook Yana shared a recipe for a delicious pita bread pizza with cheese, mozzarella, and herbs on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Pita bread - 2 pieces (200 g)
- Mozzarella - 180 g
- Cheese - 90-120 g
- Greens - a bunch
- Butter
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the mozzarella on a coarse grater and crush the feta cheese separately with a fork to crumbs. Finely chop the greens and add them to the mixture.
2. Grease the sides and bottom of the pan with butter. Put part of the pita bread, and top with the cheese and herbs filling. Cover with a second pita and top with the remaining mozzarella, the remaining cheese, and some herbs.
3. Carefully turn the pizza over and spread the remaining mozzarella on top. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes over low heat.
