Ingredients:

  • beetroot - 600 g
  • salt - to taste
  • black pepper - to taste
  • parsley - 10 g
  • olive oil - 1-1.5 tbsp.

Ingredients for the marinade:

  • olive oil - 2 tbsp.
  • garlic - 2-3 cloves
  • honey - 1 tsp.
  • balsamic cream/red wine vinegar - 1 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Peel and cut the beetroot into slices. Place on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.

2. Brush with olive oil and bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for about half an hour.

3. Turn the pieces over and bake for another 20 minutes.

4. For the marinade, combine the following in a bowl: chopped garlic, a little honey, olive oil and vinegar.

5. Put the baked beets in a deep plate, sprinkle with chopped parsley and pour in the marinade.

6. Mix well. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste.

7. The beets will be ready to serve in just 30 minutes. You can also cover a plate of beets with cling film and put them in the refrigerator for a day or more.
