Cottage cheese donuts that always turn out puffy: ready in 20 minutes
These donuts are a very simple and quick pastry. They are made from all-purpose cottage cheese dough that does not require yeast. The donuts can be baked in the oven or fried in a pan, and can be supplemented with any filling.
One of the cooking blogs (cook_with_me_at_home) published a recipe for fried cottage cheese donuts on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese - 250 g
- sugar - 70 g
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- biscuit powder - 1 tsp.
- flour - 240 g
- salt
- cinnamon (or without) - 1/4 tsp.
- oil (for frying)
Method of preparation:
1. Beat cottage cheese as you like: through a sieve or a meat grinder or in a blender. Then add sugar, eggs, salt and cinnamon. Stir.
2. Mix flour with biscuit powder. Add to the total mass in several stages and knead the dough. It will stick a little to your hands.
3. Form small balls from the finished dough.
4. Fry the balls in a large amount of oil until golden brown. During the frying process, turn them over frequently.
